The talented sounds of the McKeesport Area High School A Cappella Choir and the North Hills High School Symphonic Choir, followed by PCC, filled the music hall. To close, all three joined for a magnificent performance of selections from "Carmina Burana."
Performances featured music of Christmas in early December, a classical work in early March, and a Pops concert in early May.
Traditionally performing in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh, the audience outreach extended to New York City with an additional classical concert at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine.
"Sounds of the Season" Accompaniment was provided by David Billings, organ.
"Duruflé Requiem", also featuring Cantique de Jean Racine by Gabriel Faure and Mozart's Te Deum. The soloists for these performances were mezzo-soprano Eva Rainforth and bass Charles Cohen. Accompanied by organist David Billings and the PCC Chamber Orchestra.
"Big Band & Beyond!" This concert featured favorites from such legendary American composers as Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer & Billy Strayhorn. These performances featured the Jazz Concspiracy Swingtet and included a concert on the Dollar Bank Stage at Point State Park during the Three Rivers Arts Festival.
